It all started in 2014 when Tom sat down with a sewing machine with no idea how to operate the thing. But he had an idea and after countless attempts - some better than others - he finally created what would become the first product - StrapIt.
In the beginning the name was "Geniuine Lifting" which was a webshop with many different training products, produced in Pakistan and China, like almost all other training accessories.
In 2018 Tom decided to stop "Genuine Lifting" and continue to exclusively sell his own designed and produced straps under the name StrapIt. It was difficult to document proper working conditions and a sustainable production process in Pakistan and China, and ethically and morally this presented challenges.
In 2020, Cinthya joined the company and she quickly became production manager and administrative day-to-day manager. Cinthya is originally from Argentina, and came to Denmark in 2019 to study, which she continues to do while working for us.
In 2021, Mikael Munk joined as the company's "face" externally. Mikael's big muscles are surpassed only by his big heart and friendly nature. He is a true 'island boy' from Bornholm, a small island south of Sweden (but part of Denmark), which his very special dialect immediately reveals.
In 2022, the new product HookIt was born , and we launched the first version of our app. In addition, we invited Anton Kann Rønne and Mathias Snedled in as co-owners of MakeIt Denmark ApS, and we thus today have a highly competent team with a completely unique combination of skills, which gives MakeIt the potential to grow strongly in the future.

In 2022, the new product came
In 2023 we will open a new HQ in Amager, specifically Engvej 165, right next to Femøren metro station and Fitness X, where we will have a shop, warehouse, offices + podcast room.
It will also be possible to come by and buy a cup of coffee, a protein smoothie, or other drinks, as a small café will also be attached.
