Wrist Wraps Size Guide
Size Guide for Wrist Wraps
MakeIt Wrist Wraps are available in 40 and 60 cm. The length indicates the length of the wrist wrap itself – not the circumference of your wrist. Choose based on how much support and how many wraps you desire.
Which length should I choose?
- 40 cm – for general strength training: A flexible choice with good support for exercises such as bench press, shoulder press, and dips. Choose this length if you want a good balance between support and flexibility.
- 60 cm – for firmer support: The extra length allows for more wraps around the wrist. Choose this length if you prefer firmer support for heavy lifts.
Both lengths feature adjustable Velcro closure, allowing you to customize the fit and support. How tightly you wrap your Wrist Wraps also affects how the support feels.
How to measure the length
The image below shows how the length of your Wrist Wraps is measured. It shows the product's dimensions and should not be used as a measuring guide for your wrist circumference.
Still unsure?
For general strength training, 40 cm is a good starting point. If you prefer more wraps and firmer support for heavy lifts, 60 cm is the obvious choice.
Contact us at anton@nowmakeit.eu or via our contact form if you need assistance. Please specify what exercises you train and how you prefer the support to feel.

All About Wrist Wraps
What are Wrist Wraps used for?
Wrist Wraps support and stabilize your wrists during strength training. They are especially suitable for heavy pressing exercises where the wrists might otherwise bend backward or feel unstable. MakeIt Wrist Wraps are sold as a set of two.
What exercises can I use Wrist Wraps for?
Wrist Wraps are particularly used for bench press, incline bench press, shoulder press, military press, dips and other pressing exercises. They can also be used for front squats and other exercises where the wrists are strained.
What is the difference between 40 and 60 cm Wrist Wraps?
40 cm provides a good balance between support and freedom of movement and is suitable for most workouts. 60 cm can be wrapped multiple times around the wrist and therefore provides extra support for heavy lifts and demanding pressing exercises.
How do I put on Wrist Wraps correctly?
Place the thumb loop around the thumb and wrap the Wrist Wrap tightly around the wrist. Close it with the Velcro, and check that it supports the wrist itself without only sitting around the forearm.
How tight should Wrist Wraps be?
They should be tight enough to stabilize the wrist, but not so tight that they feel uncomfortable or restrict blood circulation. You can adjust the tightness from exercise to exercise.
What is the difference between wrist wraps and lifting straps?
Wrist wraps support the wrists during pushing exercises like bench press and overhead press. Lifting straps, on the other hand, assist with grip during pulling exercises like deadlifts and rows. The products therefore address two different needs.
Can beginners use Wrist Wraps?
Yes. Wrist wraps can be used by both beginners and experienced lifters. They can provide extra stability and make it easier to keep the wrist in a good position, but they should be used as support for proper lifting technique.
How do I clean my Wrist Wraps?
Wipe them with a damp cloth as needed, and let them air dry completely. Avoid tumble drying and direct heat, as this can affect the materials and the velcro fastening. Store them in a dry place between training sessions.
