When you supplement with creatine, the amount of creatine and creatine phosphate in the muscles can increase. This can improve your ability to perform repeated strenuous efforts such as heavy lifting, sprinting, and explosive movements.
What does creatine do for strength training?
Creatine can be particularly relevant in training with short, intensive working sets. It can, among other things, help you to:

Therefore, you do not need to choose the most expensive or advanced variant. A standard product with creatine monohydrate is a sensible choice for most people.
How much creatine should you take?
A common maintenance dose is 3–5 grams of creatine monohydrate per day. It should be taken regularly, even on days when you do not train.
You do not need to adjust the dosage precisely according to your body weight. For most exercisers, 3–5 grams per day is a simple and practical starting point.
Is a loading phase necessary?
No. A loading phase can fill the muscle's creatine stores more quickly but is not necessary to achieve the effect.
A traditional loading phase typically consists of approximately 20 grams daily divided into four smaller doses for five to seven days. After that, you continue with 3–5 grams per day. Alternatively, you can start directly with 3–5 grams daily. It just takes longer for the muscle's creatine stores to become saturated.
When should creatine be taken?
The most important thing is that you take creatine regularly. The exact time of day is less important than daily continuity.
You can mix creatine in water, juice, a protein shake, or take it with a meal. Choose the time that makes it easiest for you to remember it every day.
Does creatine cause weight gain?
